What will you do? Make an impact!

Main purpose of job: 
To carry out day to day operational tasks on the Drum Plants (including loading containers, decanting, running the Drum and/or Solids Handling Plant), as directed by the Senior Operator, whilst assisting in maintaining the highest standards of health & safety performance, housekeeping and procedural and regulatory compliance. To provide a flexible, customer focused service aimed at maximising plant efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include:
•    To carry out daily safety checks on all equipment at the start of each shift and report any defective equipment to the Shift Manager and/or the Engineering Team.
•    To ensure all safety systems are followed, the appropriate PPE is worn and safety equipment is used for its intended purpose at all times. To promote a high standard of health and safety within the department, through own actions and by instruction to others, including but not limited to ensuring compliance with all site, company and legal requirements.
•    To report any unsafe act or condition to the relevant personnel.  Take immediate and appropriate corrective action to make the situation safe before reporting via the Near Miss system 
•    To carry out other tasks e.g. ‘Kegging Up’, Off-Loading Trailers, assisting on other drum plants, any other duties as may reasonably be required.
 

Do you have what it takes?

•    Full valid UK Driving Licence?
•    Positive, pro-active “can-do” attitude?
•    Ideally a Forklift Truck licence?
•    Ideally experience of working in waste-management?
