What will you do? Make an impact!
The EC&I Technician plays a key role in the installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems across site operations. Whether you’ve worked as an E&I Technician, Instrumentation & Control Technician, or in a similar electrical or automation-focused role, you’ll be responsible for keeping systems operating safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and industry standards.
- Maintenance & Repairs
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and instrumentation systems, minimising downtime. This would suit someone from an Electrical Maintenance Technician, Industrial Electrician, or Multi-Skilled Maintenance background with an electrical bias. - Instrumentation & Automation
Install, commission, calibrate, and fault-find on instrumentation (pressure, temperature, level, flow) and automation systems including PLCs and SCADA. Ideal for those with experience as an Instrumentation Technician, Automation Technician, or Control Systems Technician. - Electrical Systems
Maintain motors, switchgear, and power distribution systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards. - Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate records and update technical documentation such as wiring and loop diagrams. - Project & Emergency Support
- Support shutdowns, upgrades, and emergency callouts as part of a 24/7 operational environment.
Do you have what it takes?
- NVQ Level 3, HNC, or HND in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Systems
- 18th Edition electrical certification
- Experience in a similar role (e.g. EC&I, E&I, Electrical Maintenance, or Control Systems)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good understanding of safety procedures and Permit to Work systems
- Strong communication skills and team mindset
- Willingness to work shifts, on-call, and in hazardous environments
Desirable:
- Calibration experience
- Experience working with PLC/SCADA systems
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
