Transactional Finance Administrator

Description: 

Main purpose of role:

  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable transaction management
  • Invoice and sales order raising
  • CAPEX budget set up
  • Efficient and accurate month end close process including journal processing
  • Support the monitoring of internal financial controls
  • Provide assistance and data to enable a swift and effective UK audit process
  • Credit control account review
  • Support Financial Controller with statutory accounting and reporting  

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage the transactional side of accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Input purchase orders into SAP and Invoice and sales order raising
  • CAPEX and non-operating budget set up in SAP
  • Support in the production of month end management accounts
  • Input data into the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, to an auditable standard
  • Monthly review and accurate posting of recurring and non-recurring monthly journals
  • Prepare monthly reporting information for the management team including variance analysis
  • Support sites in the understanding of financial systems and processes, particularly in respect of purchase processing
  • Support audit of the UK Chemicals group and preparation of statutory accounts as required
  • Respond to auditor and tax queries with support of the Financial Controller
  • Assist credit control activities in the review of the portfolio of accounts
  • Maintain effective liaison with a range of internal staff & customers and keeping accurate records of all correspondence
  • Other adhoc duties as required

Experience:

  • Experience within industry including monthly AP, AR and other transactional finance processes
  • Previous experience in a similar transactional finance/management accounting role
  • SAP experience in finance and purchasing modules
  • Experience of handling large volumes of data and performing large scale reconciliations
  • Experience in manufacturing within a medium-large business
