Receiving Manager - 1st Shift

What will you do? Make an impact!

The Receiving Manager will be responsible for day-to-day operations, supervision, training, and compliance of receiving personnel who perform inventory, sampling, labelling, and warehousing of inbound containers.

 

Key Job Responsibilities

 

  • Foster, uphold, and prioritize a strong culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) throughout the team, ensuring that safety and compliance are integral to all operations.
  • Oversee the inventory, sampling, labelling, and warehousing of inbound containers.
  • Ensure that inbound waste is properly identified, coded and labelled.
  • Work with the Quarantine Department and Lab to resolve non-conforming materials.
  • Communicate problems/issues to appropriate departments, including production, maintenance, customer service, and/or sales for resolution.
  • Ensure that all regulations including training and internal health and safety policies are followed by receiving personnel.
  • Maintain employee schedules
  • Ensure that area equipment is maintained and repaired.
  • Develop, review, and implement new procedures and techniques to improve efficiency and profitability of receiving department.
  • Ensure department is compliant with RCRA, Part B permit.
  • Communication with all departments within the plant for waste movement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or related field or three to five (3 to 5) years of equivalent experience in environmental, chemistry or hazardous waste environment
  • Must successfully complete Hazwoper training
  • Must complete DOT Hazardous Materials Awareness Training
  • Three (3) years processing/inventory management/shipping experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs
  • Experience using SAP in desirable
  • Ability to work the schedule for which you are hired for
  • Ability to work on-site as described in the job description
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
