What will you do? Make an impact!

As a Heavy Equipment Operator at Tradebe, your role involves overseeing the movement and transfer of outgoing shipments at the designated plant for off-site disposal.

This is more than just a heavy equipment operator role—you’ll also pitch in across the plant, helping with drum handling, forklift operation, and other key support duties that keep the operation running smoothly.

 

Key Job Responsibilities

 

  • Operate heavy equipment including backhoes, trackhoes, and forklifts.
  • Follow all regulations, standards, and internal policies, to ensure Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace. 
  • Perform preventive maintenance and keep equipment in safe working condition.
  • Assist with loading and unloading drums, roll-offs, and end dumps for off-site disposal.
  • Open, process, and label waste materials in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow standard operating procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Support area compliance and safety efforts, including documentation and reporting.
  • Cross-train in other departments to support solidification and stabilization processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Do you have what it takes?

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience with forklift operations
  • Experience with backhoe, trackhoe, or other heavy equipment operations a plus
  • One year of hazardous waste industry experience is desirable  
  • Working knowledge of DOT/RCRA regulations a plus
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check, are required
  • Ability to work the schedule for which you are hired for, work on-site and the ability to read, write, and speak English
