Senior Staff Accountant

Main Purpose

 

This role will support the Accounting Manager in the execution of day-to-day accounting functions, month end closing process, and daily/weekly/monthly financial reporting. You will be responsible for reviewing multiple P&Ls for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP.

Key Job Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare and review complex journal entries and ensure accuracy in posting to the general ledger.
  • Reconcile accounts and data across various platforms, on a monthly basis to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information to ensure compliance with Global Accounting Policies and GAAP
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Support Senior Accountants during external audits.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams.
  • Other accounting tasks, projects, and ad hoc requests as assigned

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance is required
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting role
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, and IF formulas)
  • Hands on, takes initiative, is actionable, and follows up
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, prioritize tasks, and stay organized
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience utilizing ERP (SAP) is a plus
