Tradebe are looking for a Transport Co-ordinator to join our team at the Knowsley depot.

 

As a key member of our transport operations, you will be responsible for the planning and coordination of HGV vehicles and drivers across a diverse range of vehicles transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste throughout the UK.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning HGV vehicles and a team of drivers 
  • Maximising vehicle utilisation while ensuring compliance with SLA contracts and driver legislation.
  • Quote and coordinate transport movements for both internal stakeholders and external customers, with a focus on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service delivery.
  • Solve problems and communicate effectively, liaise across multiple departments within the business, including operations, sales, and customer service, to achieve business goals.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Previous experience in HGV Vehicle planning
  • Experience in resource management or relevant planning of HGV Drivers
  • Proven experience engaging with drivers regularly
  • Knowledge of SAP, Masternaut is beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • ADR planning experience is desirable
  • Confident on the phone
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Must be computer-literate and proficient with using WhatsApp, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Previous experience of working within a busy fast paced transport office is desirable
