What will you do? Make an impact!

The Bid Manager is responsible for writing and developing content for tender responses.  Working with the Business Development Manager, you will work to convert opportunities into profitable contracts in line with business objectives.  This role is based from home, however we would expect you to travel up to 25% of the time.

 

In addition to the above you will work on/ be involved with the following: 

 

•    Bid Programme - identify the necessary resources, secure support from work winning and operational leaders, involving internal/external stakeholders as appropriate.
•    To act as the lead for the bid team and other work winning resources to identify, capture, develop and implement win themes
•    Documentation - To ensure that submission documents are completed in a timely manner and are fully responsive to questions posed in the customer's enquiry documentation and meet the requirement of the invitation to tender.
•    Bid Delivery - To deliver the bid within the agreed costs and within Tradebe policy and procedure
•    Differentiation - To determine the likely response of our competitors and seek to positively differentiate the Tradebe offering. 
•    KPI's - Monthly update of tender pipeline 

Do you have what it takes?

You will have extensive experience in Bid Writing, preferably in both Public and Private sectors; with a strong Project Management and P&L focus.

 

•    Commercial awareness: Customer focused with an understanding of the market and strong business acumen
•    Financial background to manage budgets, business cases, and model solutions while working collaboratively with the wider team
•    Proficient in MS Office Suite, strong organizational skills, Autonomous & Team working
•    Engaging and highly effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills that cultivate and grow lasting business relationships both internally and externally.
•    Highly collaborative leadership style with ability to respond quickly and effectively to ever changing situations.
•    Exhibits strong business acumen, skills and maturity and the ability to work effectively with others
•    Business comprehension to develop bespoke 360-degree, tender based solutions. Ability to challenge the rest of the company to offer and implement out of the box solutions.
•    Desirable: APMP (Bid & Proposal Management – Foundation Level)
