The post holder will be responsible for the monitoring/controlling the PCS to optimise HTI plant conditions and maximise throughputs of waste material, whilst paying due attention to Health, Safety and the Environment.

The role

To perform all duties in accordance with Legislative requirements and the Company's objectives, maintaining and improving performance in the areas of Safety, Quality and Environment.
To report all accidents, Incidents and near misses.
To actively participate in the plant continuous improvement suggestion scheme.
Responsible for monitoring the PCS, responding with suitable operator actions and reporting abnormal events/occurrences to the Duty Shift Manager.
To control and monitor waste in feeds to the Incinerator in order to maximise throughputs whilst paying due attention to the conditions stipulated in the permit and limitations of plant processes.
To proactively liaise with plant personnel to optimise/control plant operation and performance.
To produce an electronic handover note for the oncoming Process Supervisor.
To deputise for the duty Shift Manager when required.
To write and issue permits to work when required.
To produce methods statements and risk assessments for routine and non routine operations.

The person

The successful applicant must have a positive "can do" attitude to work and a willingness to learn new skills/embrace new ideas.

Ideally, they will also hold an IOSH and FLT qualification.
