The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations and supervision of production personnel, ensuring efficient workflows, adherence to company policies, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Foster, uphold, and prioritize a strong culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) throughout the team, ensuring that safety and compliance are integral to all operations.
• Oversee all production personnel and processes.
• Ensure that inventory is processed in the appropriate manner based on process code, inbound profile and analysis information.
• Communicate problems/issues to appropriate departments, including lab, receiving, and maintenance.
• Ensure that all regulations and internal health and safety policies are followed by production personnel. 
• Ensure that all production areas are in compliance with Part B, RCRA permit.
• Ensure that area equipment is maintained and operational.
• Leverage data and analyze production trends to achieve operational efficiency and improve output
• Willingness and ability to work off shift for visibility and operational support
• Willingness to take after hours calls and field production issues and resolve and/or delegate accordingly
• Function as site’s point of contact as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Do you have what it takes?

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or equivalent experience in a similar industry or field.
• At least three to five (3 to 5) years of equivalent experience in environmental, chemistry or hazardous waste environment.
• Three (3) years processing/inventory management/shipping experience. 
• Must participate in an OSHA/HAZWOPER physical examination.
• Must obtain a physician’s certification to wear respirator.
• Must participate in DOT Hazardous Materials Awareness Training.
• Ability to read, understand and apply common operational documents, SOP’s, and training modules.
• Ability to respond to inquiries from employees, and regulatory agencies.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to work the schedule for which you are hired for

• Ability to read, write, and understand English
