Opportunity Highlights

Location: East Chicago, IN
Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off - Saturday/Sunday and two weekdays from 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay Range: $20.90-21.63/hr
- Base Pay: $18.90/hr starting; Increases to $19.63 after 90 days;
- Operator Pay: $0.75/hr
- Shift Differential: $1.25/hr

What will you do? Make an impact!

As a Tank Farm Operator, you'll play a critical role in the safe handling, movement, and storage of materials throughout our facility. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in an industrial environment, takes pride in operating safely, and wants to contribute to a team that helps protect the environment through responsible waste management and recycling.

Key Job Responsibilities

Safely load, unload, transfer, and move materials between tanks, tankers, trucks, and railcars while following established operating procedures.
Operate, monitor, and perform basic maintenance on pumps, valves, storage tanks, and other process equipment to support daily operations.
Conduct routine inspections, sampling, and compatibility testing to ensure safe and compliant material handling.
Maintain accurate records, track processed materials, and support daily operational and compliance activities.
Promote a strong culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) by following regulatory requirements, maintaining a clean work area, and supporting facility compliance programs.

Do you have what it takes?

High school diploma or equivalent.
Forklift experience; comfortable working around industrial equipment.
At least 1 year in an industrial or hazardous‑waste setting is a plus.
Basic familiarity with DOT/RCRA rules is helpful (we’ll train on specifics).
Able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
Able to work on-site and perform physical tasks (walking, standing, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crawling).
