Mobile Equipment Maintenance Mechanic

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• Pay Rate: $26-$33/hr based on experience, paid weekly
• Bonus: $1,500 retention bonus
• Location: On-site at our industrial plant 

Job Summary

We’re looking for a hands-on, dependable Mobile Equipment Maintenance Mechanic to join our team and help keep our plant running smoothly. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy mobile equipment, including forklifts, backhoes, and trackhoes. If you have a strong background in diesel equipment maintenance and enjoy solving mechanical problems in a fast-paced industrial setting, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all mobile equipment used across the plant.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on forklifts, backhoes, trackhoes, and other diesel-powered mobile equipment.
• Keep a well-stocked inventory of spare parts and tools for timely repairs.
• Make sure all work is done safely and in line with company EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) policies.
• Stay within budget and track maintenance expenses.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and up to date.
• Step in to support additional maintenance tasks as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience working in an industrial environment.
• 5–7 years of experience maintaining and operating heavy mobile equipment such as backhoes, trackhoes, and forklifts.
• Solid understanding of diesel engine systems and hydraulic components.
• Experience working on semi-trucks is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must supply your own set of tools.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Work Environment

100% on-site in an industrial, outdoor plant environment
You’ll be on your feet, working in elevated or tight spaces, and moving around the plant throughout your shift
