Opportunity Highlights

Starting Pay: $18/hr

Pay After 90 Days: $18.50/hr

Operator Pay: $3.00/hr

Shift Differential: $1.25

Shift: Rotating Shift - 1st (7a-7p) and 3rd (7p-7a), Monday-Friday

The Opportunity

As an SDS Operator Trainee with Tradebe, you will assist with the operations of the Solids Distillation System (SDS) and the operations of the Distillation Column during a one year training and learning period. After one year in the trainee role, you will have the ability to take an assessment and become an SDS Operator. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and have prior experience operating equipment.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Uphold Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance by ensuring all operations adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies, while fostering a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
  • Assist the SDS supervisor with all essential duties and responsibilities during the training period
  • Monitor all operations related to SDS and Distillation Column and make adjustments as needed to ensure safe and efficient continued operations (i.e. control panel, start/stop switches, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot all aspects of the thermal desorption unit i.e. fire eyes, pressure transmitters, control valves, maxon valves, burner control; assist in troubleshooting all aspects of distillation column.
  • Complete hourly data logs and walkthroughs and update supervisor as to the status of all operations; review operations and make suggestions for improvements.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the entire unit and surrounding area at the end of each shift; navigate through all computer operations systems as they pertain to SDS, Distillation, and the SAP. 
  • Assist in loading and unloading inbound and out bound tankers.
  • Perform Confined Space Entries and follow all other company policies including Hot Works, LOTO, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of thermal desorption units is preferred.
  • Prior experience operating equipment.
  • Must successfully pass the SDS Operator Trainee aptitude examination.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety rules.
  • Ability to work the schedule for which you are hired for
  • Ability to work on-site as described in the job description
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
