  • Schedule/Shift: 4th Shift (Friday – Monday 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM)
  • Pay: $41.00 - $49.00 per hour

What will you do? Make an impact!

The maintenance supervisor works directly with department millwrights, welders, plant department operators and management on site-equipment repairs, preventative maintenance scheduling, diagnostics, troubleshooting and scheduling unit outages.  Additionally, the shift supervisor is expected to effectively collaborate, plan and communicate with other maintenance shift supervisors in the interest of sound and organized operations.  

 

Key Job Responsibilities

 

  • Enforce safety and environmental policies across all maintenance work
  • Partner with applicable maintenance personnel on job tasks, assigned projects and preventative maintenance in the interest of sustaining continuous operations at the facility
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently as needed
  • Keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and compliant
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and execution of the plant’s preventative maintenance program(s)
  • Function as a key stakeholder and contributor to the coordination, planning and execution of scheduled  and unscheduled departmental outage(s) as needed
  • Help drive the parts inventory system and contribute to the ongoing development of an inventory management system in collaborative fashion
  • Oversee maintenance of mobile equipment (forklifts, track hoes, backhoes) as needed
  • Able to directly repair various aspects of industrial equipment as needed  
  • Perform pipe fitting and welding (if qualified)
  • Assist with daily plant inspections for preventative maintenance purposes
  • Maintain working knowledge of plant systems and machinery
  • Submit shift reports regarding work completion, equipment status, pending items for other shifts and other misc. information in a timely, accurate and organized manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Do you have what it takes?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of industrial mechanic and/or millwright experience 
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task with little to minimal supervision  
  • Ability to read equipment prints; secure information from OEM manuals; apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division and read, understand and apply common operational documents, SOP’s, and training modules 
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of manual alignment methods preferred
  • Knowledge of rebuilding pumps and blowers preferred
  • Ability to drive a forklift 
  • Must possess a basic set of tools 
  • Must possess a valid driver's license 
  • Successful completion of OSHA lock out/tag out and confined space entry training may be required 
  • Successful completion HAZWOPPER training (provided during first week of employment) 
  • Ability to work occasional overtime  
  • Ability to obtain a physician’s certification to wear a respirator is required 
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check, are required
