Lab Pack Plant Technician (Up to $21/hour!)

The Opportunity

As a Lab Pack Plant Technician, you will be assisting the Lab Pack Plant Chemist in sampling, packaging and labelling hazardous wastes for transportation and disposal.

Key Job Responsibilities

Safely de-pack and consolidate lab pack quantities in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
Collect samples from drums and in-house created materials for proper identification and processing.
Assist with the loading and offloading of trucks, ensuring secure and compliant transport of materials.
Pour-off and bulk lab pack materials as required, following proper handling procedures.
Complete all regulatory documentation accurately to maintain compliance with environmental laws and internal protocols.
Ensure Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance by adhering to relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies, and by promoting a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
Respond promptly and effectively to spills and other emergency situations.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support team operations and company goals.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Hazardous waste experience a plus
Experience operating a forklift preferred
Successful completion of Hazwoper training
Must have an OSHA/Hazwoper physical examination
Must obtain a physician certification to wear a respirator
Ability to work the schedule for which you are hired for
Ability to work on-site as described in the job description
Ability to read, write, and understand English
