Job description

Tradebe is looking for a Lab Pack Plant Supervisor to supervise a shift of chemist and technician in our lab pack/depack department. In this department we are unpacking hazardous waste materials that are coming in the plant, typically from universities and other large labs. We ensure that the hazardous materials were packed up correctly and then consolidate them in bulk. ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and optimizing processes for the effective handling, treatment, and disposal of hazardous materials.

Key job responsibilities
•   Supervise and assist with daily depackaging operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards
•   Unpack and process incoming products with precision and efficiency
•   Conduct bulk consolidation of materials to ensure optimal storage and handling
•   Perform lab pack consolidation in accordance with safety and regulatory standards
•   Oversee and ensure the proper operation of air pollution monitoring
•   Execute daily compliance inspections to maintain safety and quality standards
•   Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective waste management
•   Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
•   Bachelor’s degree in a science field is preferred or equivalent experience.
•   Experience in the environmental industry or other related industry is preferred
•   Chemical knowledge is preferred
•   Ability to work the schedule for which you are hired for
•   Ability to work on-site as described in the job description
•   Ability to read, write, and understand English
