Location: East Chicago, IN
Schedule: Full-time, On-site - Mon-Fri 6:45AM-3:15PM
Pay: $29-$39/hr - Pay based on experience and skills
Position comes with $1,500 retention bonus

What You'll do

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll keep our plant equipment running safely and smoothly. You’ll work on all kinds of systems—mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic. If you like hands-on work, problem-solving, and being part of a team that keeps operations moving, this job’s for you.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include

Fixing and maintaining plant equipment
Troubleshooting and replacing hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical parts like valves, bearings, shafts, and gears
Doing minor electrical work related to mechanical repairs
Light welding, grinding, and fabrication (if qualified)
Reading and working from blueprints, schematics, or sketches
Using the work order system to track tasks and materials
Operating forklifts or powered lifts when needed
Helping with daily equipment inspections
Following all safety and environmental rules
Pitching in with other maintenance tasks as needed

What You’ll Need

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience doing maintenance in an industrial setting
Basic set of tools
Valid driver’s license

What’s Nice to Have (But Not Required):

3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience
Carpentry and welding skills

Work Environment

100% on-site in an industrial, outdoor plant environment
You’ll be on your feet, working in elevated or tight spaces, and moving around the plant throughout your shift
