Main Purpose

As a Mobile Equipment Maintenance Mechanic, you will be at our East Chicago, IN site performing maintenance on various types of mobile equipment. No travel is required.

This is a 1st Shift position Mon-Fri 6:45AM-3:15PM and occasional on-call availability is required.

Key Job Responsibilities

Perform preventive, diagnostic, and corrective maintenance on all plant mobile equipment including forklifts, backhoes, trackhoes, and semis
Maintain an inventory of spare parts for mobile equipment
Ensure preventive maintenance program is in compliance

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required
Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of mobile equipment
Ability to provide own tools is required
Valid Driver’s License is required
Five to seven (5 to 7) years working in an industrial environment
Five to seven (5 to 7) years working on and operating mobile equipment, backhoe, trackhoe, fork trucks
Experience working on semi-trucks is a plus
Experience working on diesel engines is a plus
