Levels Based on Technical Proficiency and Experience:

Cylinder Supervisor I $25-26/hr

Cylinder Supervisor II $27-28/hr

Shift: 1st - Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

The Opportunity

The Cylinders Operations Supervisor will support cylinder technicians by managing inventory and ensuring proper cylinder organization within the facility.

Key Job Responsibilities

Foster a culture of safety by prioritizing and ensuring compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
Process all cylinders in accordance with company policy.
Assist in the shipment of cylinders to third-party facilities for disposal in a timely manner, adhering to all regulatory shipping requirements.
Assist in the receiving process of all cylinders into the East Chicago facility.
Maintain all cylinder tracking information to ensure proper inventory management.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in a science field (preferred) or equivalent experience, along with data entry and Microsoft Office experience.
Basic knowledge of, or a desire to learn about, the hazardous waste industry; previous industry experience is a plus.
Willingness to process various types of gases, including toxics, flammables, acids, bases, and oxidizers.
Working knowledge of DOT regulations and RCRA is desirable.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with the ability to read, understand, and apply common operational documents, SOPs, and manifests.
Ability to work the schedule for which you are hired.
Ability to work on-site as described in the job description.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
