Government Service Project Manager

As a Government Service Project Manager with Tradebe you will manage a Government Services Contract at our customers’ sites, overseeing the day to day with this contract including personnel and project management.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage all phases of waste removal projects under DLA contracts, including planning, execution, compliance, and close-out.
  • Coordinate with government stakeholders, environmental specialists, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant operations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including EPA, DOT, and OSHA requirements.
  • Supervise on-site waste removal activities, including hazardous, non-hazardous, and special waste streams.
  • Prepare shipping manifests and waste labels using the Post Exchange system to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Maintain and monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Prepare and deliver project documentation, including, reports, compliance records, and performance metrics.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with DLA representatives and other government officials.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance at all times.
  • Support audits, inspections, and environmental assessments as required by DLA or other oversight agencies.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to field teams and subcontractors to ensure operational excellence.
  • Utilize SAP to create and process orders for waste shipments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Do you have what it takes?

 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field highly preferred.
  • Five (5) years industry related experience, preferably managing a Federal Hazardous Waste disposal contract.
  • Relevant experience in Hazardous Waste Transportation and disposal required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with less than three (3) moving violations within the last three (3) years.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, word-processing skills and proficiency with MS Excel required.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good problem-solving abilities, ability to overcome obstacles.
  • Ability to negotiate with customer to complete tasks in the most efficient order.
  • Ability to meet strict performance deadlines for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Experience operating a forklift is preferred.
  • Ability to work the schedule for which you are hired for
  • Ability to work on-site as described in the job description
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
